Snow day!!!

Today we had a snow day! It was nice to relax for a while, but at the end of the day, I realized how little I had accomplished... I did my homework for 2 classes (not my algebra though, oops), and I got 5 topics for my research paper answered! I still have to do those word problems though and they are really hard!! I also have 9 more topics to answer, not to mention the actually writing of the paper once I've answered the questions. Then I have to make a presentation about my life and country! All of this has to be done by April 9th! And as if that wasn't enough, I also have to prepare all of my lesson plans for preschool and do my usual schoolwork, while taking private Spanish lessons and trying to keep in shape, and trying to make my friends stop fighting, and getting my truck fixed (the power steering is messed up), and I have to get my online classes ready, pick a college, apply for scholarships, and I'm in a play this semester!!! I'm about to go nutso! Oh, and I'm required to excel at every one of the things that I'm doing! 4.0 GPA!! This is going to be an absolutely crazy semester and I just hope that with my dad, mom, Duke, Rhett, and my friends (that's right, I'm talking to you Aaron!!!) will all still want to be around me in the end!! Peru is coming so soon, but it seems eons away!

Sorry?

I had a lapse of faith a few days ago in the form of a full on breakdown! It consisted of crying and telling my mom that I didn't want to go to Peru after all! About 5 minutes later I went into her room and apologized for being dumb and not really thinking. I figure that if I'm sorry about doubting Peru then I actually want to go! It helps that Sarah is here because she knows what I'm going through exactly. I'm also feeling pretty confident that I can understand about 50% of what her mother and sister say! I'm getting a Spanish tutor soon and I know that will make everything look a ton brighter! Even though tomorrow is a day commemorating a wonderful man/ visionary, our school district will still be in session tomorrow, so I must hit the sack and think of some amazing way to sign off...

The Start of the Process of Preparing

In 6 months I'm leaving for Peru. Before April 9th I have to write a research paper on Peru, create a presentation about my life and the US, and really start to get my grounds in the Spanish language. So far, I've done nothing on my presentation or paper, and have only emailed about getting a Spanish tutor. It snowed 2 inches last night, but we still had school. I decided that my back hurt enough that school would be futile today, so I stayed home with my mother. Even though I've been home all day, I've still done nothing that needed to be done tonight... I really need to work on my work ethic... Especially before I leave for Peru! Soon I will know enough Spanish to live in Peru and everything will be wonderful!!
