This vs. That

So a few minutes ago, my pet rat was chewing on the bars of his cage, so I gave him a piece of paper to chew on instead... Well, that made almost as much noise and I realized that I had to pick the lesser of two evils. Me going to Peru is the lesser evil of growing up! Sure, leaving is going to be hard, but at least I won't have to spend one of my most angst filled years surrounded by intolerant punks that are racist, sexist, and against anything that they don't understand. Being a bit frightened and having to learn another language is a walk in the park compared to fighting the urge to teach the kids at my school a lesson or two. Now that I'm done ranting, I'd like to explain that I'm writing this for my own benefit mostly and I just need to type something to seem productive. If my topics seem repetitve, you aren't going crazy, my topics are very repetitive.
